How to deactivate a SIM card

Outcome & scope

This article explains how to request deactivation of a GreenFlux-provided SIM card that is no longer needed. SIM card deactivation is handled by the GreenFlux Support team.

If your SIM card is supplied by another provider, contact that provider directly.

Before you start

Check that the SIM card is no longer needed for charge station connectivity. If the station must remain online, arrange an alternative connection before requesting deactivation.

To help Support identify the correct SIM card, please send a list of:

  • The ICCID (the SIM card’s unique identifier).

Requesting deactivation

  1. Submit a ticket through the GreenFlux Support Portal using your registered account.
  1. Clearly state that you are requesting SIM card deactivation and include the details listed above. If you have a preferred deactivation date, mention it in the request.
  1. Ask Support to confirm when deactivation has been completed. Confirm any questions about processing time, subscription charges or future reactivation with Support before proceeding.
ℹ️

Once deactivated, the SIM card can no longer provide mobile connectivity. A charge station relying on that SIM card will need another connection to communicate with the GreenFlux platform.

Disposing of deactivated SIM cards

You do not need to return deactivated SIM cards to GreenFlux. Once Support has confirmed deactivation, dispose of them responsibly in accordance with local electronic waste and recycling guidelines.
